The on-site office continues to provide assistance via email and telephone, however, if the need arises, we will be available at the on-site office by appointment only. Please email Assistant General Manager, Christina Rowland, at [email protected] for assistance.

Our parking patrol company places green stickers on windows of vehicles that are in violation of this policy and a letter from the Association is also sent. Please contact our office directly for any questions about the policies.
Please remember to slow down driving through the community and also while entering and exiting through any gates and guardhouse. Stay safe everyone!

Park Lakes – Meetings

Dear Park Lakes Residents,

The Park Lakes POA Board of Directors has cancelled their April monthly meeting due to the COVID 19 Stay-at-home orders. We will keep you informed if there are changes to any future upcoming Board meetings.

In addition, they have decided to postpone the Annual Meeting (normally scheduled in May) and will announce when it will be scheduled as soon as they are able to determine a date.

Park Lakes Community Update

The Board of Directors, in consultation with legal counsel, has determined that the Harris County Stay Home, Work Safe Order (the “Order”), a copy of which is attached, requires closure of all amenities with the exception of open park spaces. We reached this decision based on the following provisions of the Order:

•Section 1(d): All public or private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a single household or living unit are prohibited, excepted as otherwise provided in the Order

•Section 1(g): Gyms, fitness centers, swimming pools and other facilities that are used or intended to be used for any type of training, martial arts, sport or recreation shall close

While the Board understands that this has been a frustrating experience for everyone, the terms of the Order are based on the advice of experts in the healthcare industry. The Board is simply doing its part to ensure the Association is complying with the Order. Residents are responsible for complying at an individual level. The Association does not have the authority to and cannot enforce the Order. Local law enforcement has been charged with enforcing the Order and a violation of the Order carries a possible monetary fine of up to $1,000 or confinement in jail for a period of up to 180 days.

Please be advised that, with the exception of use of the open park spaces in accordance with the Order, the Association will treat any person using any Association’s amenity that has been locked or otherwise closed to use as a trespasser and law enforcement will be contacted.  Please note that, during this time, the Association still has to maintain its amenities and the Association’s vendors are still billing the Association for maintenance performed on the amenities. The closure of these amenities due to the pandemic and related government orders will have no appreciable effect on the Association’s expenses. Accordingly, assessments will remain at the current level and the Association is not in the position to issue a refund of or credit to the assessments.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.

Thank you,

Park Lakes Board of Directors

Park Lakes Update- Fitness Centers

Dear Park Lakes Neighbors,

The Board of Directors of the Park Lakes Association is aware of the recent developments regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Based on current available data, the Board believes that it is prudent and appropriate to take certain safety precautions. Accordingly, in an abundance of caution and with our staff’s health and safety in mind, both of the onsite fitness centers will be closed beginning at the end of the day today through March 31, 2020. The Board and Management will monitor the situation on March 30, 2020 to see if the onsite office(s) will be able to resume normal office/business operations.

The Board recommends that all owners and residents keep aware of the latest developments and take whatever steps you deem necessary to protect your family and yourself during this time.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Thank you,
Park Lakes Board of Directors
